"I like to think of myself as an artist, and my life is my greatest work of art. Every moment is a moment of creation, and each moment of creation contains infinite possibilities. I can do things the way I've always done them, or I can look at all the different alternatives, and try something new and different and potentially more rewarding. Every moment presents a new opportunity and a new decision. What a wonderful game we are playing, and what a magnificent art form..." Shatki Gawain
In August 2008 I retired from school administration after 36 years. I taught special education for 18 years before becoming a principal. During the administration years I also served as director of special education for the district.I am the only staff member to have closed two buildings in the district. Sycamore School that was incorporated with Chestnut School to form Central and Washington School which closed and all moved to Central.
I miss the kids and the staff but not the headaches.
I live in a small rural community in Ohio with my husband, Pat and our jack russell dogs, Brody and Emma.
Our son, Jeremy lives in Aiken, South Carolina and is a PGA golf pro. July 16, 2011 he married the love of his life, Mandi who is now officially our daughter in law. We miss them both but it is great having them within driving distance now.
To get something you never had, you have to do something you've never done. When God takes something from your grasp, He's not punishing you, but merely opening your hands to receive something better. Remember....The will of God will never take you where the Grace of God will not protect you.
